After a very successful jaunt through the Midwest and South, The Greyboy Allstars are firing on all cylinders with new drummer Aaron Redfield and the launch of a new West Coast tour in March. The band plans to head East in April for a short run before hitting New Orleans at Tipitinas on May 3rd for their annual late night jazzfest throwdown. Pre-sale tickets for all shows will be available Wednesday the 6th at 3pm PST from GBA Ticketing. Visit the Tour section for additional show info, and if you're interested in helping promote the show(s) in your area, send an email GBAStreetTeam@gmail.com.
In other news, the music video for "Still Waiting" from the latest album, What Happened to Television?, will premier later this week! The video features puppetry by the Philadelphia-based collective Monkeyboys, including artists from Jim Henson Studios, Crank-Yankers, Sesame Street, and Avenue Q. Stay tuned for more details!
And even in their time off, the Allstars don't quit. Elgin Park (aka Michael Andrews) recently finished producing the soundtrack for Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. Robert Walter has been busy recording with the soulful blues singer, Susan Tedeschi, while Karl Denson preps before heading out to play sax with his former boss Lenny Kravitz on his upcoming world tour.
