The Greyboy Allstars are pleased to announce new tour dates for 2009. The band will be hitting Arizona for the first time in many years with stops in Flagstaff at the Orpheum on February 7 and Tucson at the Rialto on the 8th. The following weekend see’s the Allstars finally return to Portland’s Crystal Ballroom for a night of sweat drenched groove on February 15. Last but not least, GBA will be coming back to Colorado with stops at the Aggie Theatre on February 19, The Fox Theatre on February 20, and the Ogden Theatre on February 21. The Dirty Dozen Brass Band is supporting GBA at the Ogden Theatre in Denver.
If you have not yet made your New Years plans and find yourself in San Francisco, The Greyboy Allstars will be joining George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic to welcome in the New Year at the Warfield in San Francisco. The package will also be doing a second date at the new Nokia Live in Los Angeles on January 2.
Pre-sale tickets for all shows are available now from GBA Fan Club Ticketing, and tickets will be made available to the public on Friday Dec. 19 for the February shows.
In other band news, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and Robert Walter’s 20th Congress will both be reuniting for three special concerts together beginning this weekend in Lake Tahoe at the Crystal Palace for two nights and ending on Karl Denson’s birthday, December 27th at the Belly Up in San Diego. KDTU will also be performing on December 23rd at the Belly Up in Aspen and two dates post Jam Cruise in Florida on January 9 at the State Theater in St. Petersburg and on January 10 at the Culture room in Ft.
